Biography
Why the website? We were both concerned about the lack of correct information giving practical tips, experience of ownership along with the maintenance and parts supplies. and material on the W140 series of cars. We felt that the time had come to try to consolidate all of this into a single website, such that there is a greater exchange of information by owners themselves for the benefit of all. By doing this we are promoting and encouraging, longevity of this iconic car.
Paul Mason
Has been a professional chauffeur whose principal had a W140 S500L and it was this introduction that persuaded him to acquire his own 140 which is a late model S600L in Smoke silver, which he has owned for the last 15 years.
Paul Lobanov-Rostovsky
Retired. Has owned Mercedes cars since 2010 starting with a W210 Turbo diesel Estate. In 2012 purchased the first of his W140’s, an S500L, This was followed shortly by an S320 SWB facelift. He currently still runs the S320 and also an S600L. He has like Paul Mason through the length of ownership acquired a lot of knowledge on these cars having been very fussy about garages and mechanics allowed to look after them.
